This privacy policy explains how Digrin (the website and services at https://www.digrin.com) collects, uses, shares, and retains personal data, and what controls you have. It applies to digrin.com, related Digrin services, and the public ChatGPT plugin / Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint at https://www.digrin.com/mcp.

Categories of personal data we collect

Depending on how you use Digrin, we may collect:

  • Account data: email address, name, username, password hashes, and profile identifiers from Google Sign-In or other social sign-in if you use them.
  • Portfolio and investment data you provide: holdings, transactions, notes, watchlists, and related preferences.
  • Broker connection data you provide: API keys or tokens used for read-oriented sync with supported brokers, and imported statements.
  • Payment metadata: subscription status, customer identifiers, and invoice-related information from our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on digrin.com.
  • Support data: messages and attachments you send to us.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser information, cookies, and similar technologies, including analytics used to understand site traffic.

The public ChatGPT plugin / MCP tools return public market and dividend research data (for example ticker, company name, yields, dividend history, and public Digrin URLs). They do not collect your ChatGPT account identity, and they do not return private Digrin portfolio holdings unless you separately authenticate to a private feature that we expressly provide.

Purposes of use

We use this data to:

  • Create, authenticate, and maintain your account
  • Provide dividend research, portfolio tracking, imports, broker sync, and related features you enable
  • Process subscriptions and provide paid-plan access
  • Respond to support requests
  • Operate, secure, and improve digrin.com (including traffic analytics and abuse prevention)
  • Send essential service communications (for example verification or account notices)

We do not sell personal data. We do not use Google user data for targeted advertising, data brokerage, credit or lending decisions, or training generalized AI/ML models.

Categories of recipients

We may share personal data with:

  • Infrastructure providers that host the website, database, cache, and email delivery
  • Payment processors (for example Stripe) to bill subscriptions
  • Authentication providers (for example Google) when you choose Google Sign-In
  • Analytics providers (for example Google Analytics) to measure site usage
  • Affiliate / referral measurement providers used to attribute referred signups
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety

Those providers are used only as needed to operate the service. If you use Digrin through ChatGPT or another third-party AI product, that product’s provider also processes your prompts and tool results under its own privacy policy.

Data retention timelines

  • Account, portfolio, and Google sign-in data: retained while your account remains active, then deleted or destroyed when you close the account, except where a longer period is required by law (for example tax or accounting records related to payments).
  • Payment and subscription records: retained as needed for billing, refunds, and legal accounting obligations.
  • Support messages: retained as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable follow-up period.
  • Server and security logs (including IP addresses): typically retained for up to 90 days unless needed longer to investigate abuse or a security incident.
  • Public MCP / ChatGPT plugin requests: we do not store private ChatGPT account profiles. Technical logs of requests (for example time, IP, and tool name) follow the same log retention as other server logs.

Your controls and rights

You can:

  • Access and update account details in your account settings
  • Delete your account with Delete Account in account settings, which deletes associated account data subject to legal retention
  • Request deletion or a copy of your data by emailing [email protected]
  • Disconnect broker credentials at the broker and in Digrin
  • Disable cookies in your browser settings (some cookies are required to stay logged in)
  • Stop using the ChatGPT plugin at any time in ChatGPT

Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we request only the profile and email scopes. We may access your Google account email and basic profile (name and profile identifier). We do not request Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, or other Google Workspace content. We use this data only to create and authenticate your Digrin account and to send essential service emails.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and to understand how the site is used (including Google Analytics). Cookies do not give us control of your computer.

Children

Digrin is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
